Hi, I am Quiana. I am a mom and an Early Childhood Education teacher. I have been teaching for about seven years. In my classroom, I enjoy making up songs for transitions, graduations and for learning various things our lessons. Doing music with my students helps them retain the information better. I love when my parents come back and tell me that their children are singing the songs at home or saying, "Ms. Quiana said I must practice!" I have been singing since I could talk. The most influential person in my life that influenced my singing was Aaliyah. My faborite songs from her are of course some of her greatest hits like, "The One I Gave My Heart to.'' or "Four Page Letter". Aaliyah was stylish and could dance very well. I many moments growing up where I pretended to be her. Further more, I have been singing in my church choir since I was ten years old, I have sang in Regina Belle's Church Choir for about eight plus years. Also while, volunteering to perform in fashion shows done by friends and family, I have sang in weddings and for fundraisers. I do it because I love it! Each time I perform or sing in front of people or with the children in my class, I feel I am just sharing my passion for music everyday. Giving a little piece of me.
