What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I specialize in musical theatre (legit and contemporary), classical art song, jazz standards, and some pop/rock. Regardless of style, students will focus on breath control/support, diction, intonation, posture, vowel purity, and resonance to ensure a healthy vocal technique. I also want to ensure that students can communicate the lyrics they sing honestly and expressively. Students are encouraged to work on their musicianship skills to enhance their rhythmic accuracy and phrasing. Warmups and songs will be tailored to fit a student's individual musical and artistic goals.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner -

Students will learn how to play melodies with the right hand, left hand, and with both hands together. Students will pay attention to proper hand/finger placement and musicianship (sight-reading, dynamics, tempo, etc.).
