About Me
I like to think of myself as more of a vocal coach that helps individuals express themselves by learning who they truly are and want to be through music. I love doing this through their personal talent and or by having them choose their favorite talent and building off of that. I believe music is the most powerful tool that has the ability to connect people and things together. The most amazing feeling in my opinion is to be able to learn and grow with someone through their passion in a musical way and watch them transform into exactly what they wanted to be as well as who they knew they were all along. I am a very strong believer that you create your own reality and that beautiful expression through sound help you truly understand where that reality lies and what it means to you. Sharing emotion while going through a musical journey with someone is one the best ways to accomplish so many different things for yourself in life. I have always learned just as much as I have been able to teach and will continue to do so. I think its important for any musician to know that when it comes to sharing your passion with others it is a natural occurrence and should be thought of in that way.

Erin S has over 8 years of music experience in the San Diego area.

Formal Education:

I have been through several musical programs with instructors and coaches. My entire life I have yearned for musical growth and development within myself and believe that is what has shaped my teaching skills and techniques today. I have taken piano as well but feel as though I have much more to learn about that instrument before I start to teach others. My voice on the other hand is my own personal instrument and I would not be where I am today if it weren't for everyone that has taught me how to use it.

Private Education:

I have been involved with vocal coaching since I was two years old and have continued this ever since. I think it is important for musicians to understand they can always learn more about their instrument and grow into different directions with that. I have always wanted to take lessons on the harp and hope to do this one day.

Performing Experience:

I have had the pleasure of performing in so many places for all different reasons. I have been in a Latin Soul Band and a Christian folk rock band. I have performed twice on stage in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico at a resort full of hundreds of people. I also performed with Bobby Vinton on stage when I was seven years old in Branson Missouri. I performed solo all over wherever I could spread my sound becasue I have learned that it is not about where you are performing or sharing your gift with the world, but as long as you are doing it and that it truly makes you happy thats all that matters. City buses, park benches, volunteer work, schools, to families, churches, etc. Name any place and I have probably been able to sing a tune or two! I have auditioned multiple times for America's got talent, The voice, and American Idol. I am not a famous TV star but the experiences that I took away from just doing it are among the best in my life and I will cherish those moments forever.

Experience Teaching:

Volunteer work and after school care for grades 1-4 (fun with learning instruments and preparing for community concert programs)-Coaching and mentoring young adults for auditions and performing who struggled with stage fright and confidence among other things while performing. Most of the issues resolved themselves when we were able to work together to find what fit best for them and their unique sound and by helping them let go of all fear they had to be able to enjoy every performance. -Coaching and mentoring many adults for audition pieces they chose or to simply find happiness with a life situation through their musical talent by listening and having so much fun with them.
