Review About Me
I have been involved in music from a very young age and truly believe music is something to be shared with everyone. I began piano lessons at the age of 6, studied guitar for 14 years, formally studied voice for 11 years, and received my Bachelor's degree in Music with an emphasis in Composition from Carthage College. While at Carthage I gained 3 years of experience teaching both classical and contemporary voice (Music Theater, jazz and pop/rock). I also tutored students in songwriting. Apart from teaching I've performed in bands around Kansas City and the Milwaukee area. I also did 3 years of undergraduate research in the use of visual learning software in the voice studio. I'm excited to use the knowledge/experience I've gained over the years to positively influence both amateur and future professional musicians alike!

Performing Experience:
I've performed in musicals The Wizard of Oz, South Pacific, Once Upon a Mattress, Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, and Seussical the Musical. Cover bands Playin' It Forward and Jukebox Royal. I performed a recital entirely composed of my original music. In the pit orchestra of Spring Awakening (rhythm guitar and bass guitar). Master classes with Kurt Ollmann, Richard Carsey, Daniel Asia, and David Little. I've also performed in several choirs, 2 hand bell choirs, a marching band, and a concert band.
