Hello! My name is Max and I am proudly born and raised from Council Grove, Kansas. I started performing music about 8 years ago and it quickly became my passion. I currently give guitar, vocal, and piano lessons to a brother and sister here in Council Grove and it is going excellent. I am hoping to expand my range for teaching and find new students that I can share my experience and help them start/continue their personal music journey! My scheduling is very flexible. I am in a band (The Box Turtles) give lessons, and when I'm free I help my father on our farm. I also am very active in the community. Im currently spearheading an event called "Seth Fest." I love working with kids and the travel isn't a problem!

Private Education:
I've taken many music lessons starting at the age of 5. I played baritone in elementary-high school. I then switched to guitar and piano and started singing. While at Cloud County Community College I had the honor of working with two fantastic music professors. The first was Dr. Everett Miller of Concordia. He has been teaching at Cloud for over 50 years and had a whole wealth of knowledge to share! I took piano and vocal lessons from him. While also being very active in the show choir, community choir, college choir, and pep band! I also had a great opportunity working with Dr. Chris Krampe. It was sheer luck to run into a proffesor like Dr. K at a community college. The man was a music genius and a true inspiration as a teacher. He had unique and very structured teaching system that I had adopted into my personal lessons.
Performing Experience:
Ive been performing with my band "The Box Turtles" for 4 years now. We originally formed in Concordia and started playing gigs at the local dive bar "The Broadway." We have since played at much larger venues and events! We recently recorded our first LP. It can be found on SoundCloud. We also recently just returned from our first tour! We played 5 shows throughout Colorado and Wyoming and was a huge success. Performing is truly my passion. Part of my lesson plan is to give students the confidence and skills needed to perform in front of audiences.
Experience Teaching:
I am currently teaching one 7 year old and a 9 year old guitar, vocal, and piano lessons. It has been a great intoduction to the teaching game. I now feel confident in taking on new students!
