I am Malachi. I am a Deejay and Trumpet Player. I have played trumpet for eleven years and Deejayed and worked with live sound for three years. I lived in Virginia for twelve years I recently moved to Cobb County, Georgia.
Malachi C. has over 11 years of music experience in the Mableton area.
Malachi C. is proficient in and teaches Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
I recieved an advanced diploma and arts magnet certification from Woodside High School. I did study trumpet performance and audio production as well as music production at hampton university however I am transferring to Georgia state this fall to pursue a double major in music technology and music business as well as a minor in trumpet performance.
Private Education:
I've studied with many great trumpet players. I have taken lessons from Joe Grandsen the residing adjunct at Georgia State University. I've also studied with Dr. Chip Crotts who is the adjunct at Georgia Tech University. My last private teacher for trumpet was William Brown who is now the adjunct at Hampton University.
Performing Experience:
I have performed for President Obama at the White House. I also have performed in numerous ensembles. I've played with the Higher Ground Big Band. The Liberty Orchestra the Hampton University Chamber orchestra and the Hampton University Jazz Lab Band as well as the Hampton University Brass Ensemble. I've also attended Jazz Orchestra Atlanta and their summer program.
Experience Teaching:
I was a brass instructor at Woodside High School in Newport News Virginia and I also taught Brass at Heritage High School in Newport News Virginia. This past year I was a DJ instructor for Eirleen Music and Arts Academy in Hampton Virginia.

I have worked with Malachi C. since January of 2015 and what has impressed me most has been his passion for the performing arts. Malachi is constantly looking for new challenges, skill building opportunities which allow him to develop a resourceful network of peers who respect and admire him. Through my daily interactions with Malachi as a former student I feel if given the opportunity he would be a great asset to any music business or organization that he is associated with!
