Instructor of Cello & Chamber Music
I have know Warren for 4 years now. He has been head counselor for my cello camp during that period of time and is a great counselor, cellist and teacher. He is very responsible and takes his teaching very seriously. He has a lot of natural talent and cares deeply about his students. I trust him completely and he follows directions very well and turns up for his lessons in a timely manner. I think he is truly a creative teacher and engages his students in all kinds of styles of teaching and playing. You will be lucky to add him to your roster of fine cello teachers. Review of Warren O.
I taught Warren applied cello for 5 years at Western Michigan University's School of Music, where he completed his BM in Cello performance. I also coached him in chamber music groups and was his WMU Orchestra Director. Warren is a talented and enthusiastic cellist and musician. He made great strides in both his technique and music making while at WMU. He also explored much of the Cello repertoire and honed his performance skills. Though I have not personally observed his teaching, I would imagine Warren to be a fine teacher. He has an inquisitive nature and is quite sociable. In the WMU Cello studio, he was always helpful to underclassman and was eager to lend his experience to them. I know that he developed a "skype" lesson studio over social media and was quite successful with it. He is generous with his time and expertise and genuinely likes people. Warren O. Review
Warren was a graduate teaching assistant for the University of Tennessee School of Music. I was his supervisor. His duties were to teach 5th-grade beginning strings at Blue Grass Elementary School in Knoxville, and to play in the UT Symphony Orchestra. He also assisted me with office work. Warren was a reliable, capable teacher and strong performer. He has taught lessons for many years, and high recommend him. Dr. David M. Royse, Coordinator of Music Education wrote on Sat, 28 Jan 2017
