  I took a guitar class and two choir classes while I was in high school. I already knew how to play guitar before I joined the class but it gave me a new understanding with reading notes and time signatures. With the choir I did not know how to sing but it taught me so much that year. Finding where I was comfortable at and breathing control. I am more of a self taught musician though. I learned from guitar books and people around me. Learning off them and expanding my abilities.  

  I have been in a couple of bands over the years and have played many shows throughout those years. Being in front if people is a very comfortable place for me. I played in various states throughout the southwest.  

  Teaching has something I had to do being in those bands and leading my own. I wrote all the music and had to teach every song to every person one after another. I have a whole lot of patience when it comes to teaching. Carefully going over each part with them and making sure that they find the easiest way to learn the part. Giving them encouragement every step of the way. Teaching also came with my day job as I had to teach new employees how to do the job. I find ways that the individual likes to learn.
