Sam has been playing guitar for 12 years. With experience performing Rock, Blues, and Metal he teaches sheet music, and physical technique on guitar only learned from world class guitar teachers. And if you want to learn a specific song, he can learn it by ear and teach it to you. He's incredibly flexible and understanding as a teacher.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
What students should expect is to have fun learning how to play guitar. Each student must understand that this is a process, and if you view the process as work then you're more likely to quit. But if you view it as an enjoyable process you're more likely to stick with it. Enjoy the process.
Formal Education:
Sam graduated from Moline High School in 2015 and was enrolled in Blackhawk College for 2 years.
Private Education:
Sam has had 2 guitar instructors of the years, both at West Music in Moline, Illinois who taught him everything I know now. Both Rick Ely, and Dana Starkel(World class classical guitar player).
Performing Experience:
Sam has been performing for many years at West Music Parking Lot Jams for 4 or 5 years, plus being involved with a weekend warriors project through West. Along with performing originals with bands he has been involved with locally with SamBand.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching since 2017 online and in person.

Sam B - Guitar Instructor
Sam is a dedicated guitarist with a great passion for music. He is highly skilled and creative. Areas of study: Advanced left-hand and right-hand technique, sight-Reading - TAB and standard notation, scales, chords, guitar solos and guitar performance. Sam is a fan of classic / progressive rock and has a wide-ranging repertoire of songs in his performance list. Sam's exceptional level of skill and intuitive sense of how to share his knowledge with his students makes him a great teacher. If you're looking for someone who can either get you started or take your playing to the next level - Sam would be the guitar teacher I'd recommend.
