About Me

Erin is a dramatic soprano whose roots are in the beautiful Flint Hills of Kansas. Erin's performances have been praised by clinicians for her ability to deliver the emotion and beauty of opera to the audience for whom she performs. Since moving to the Kansas City Area in 2012 she has been as artist with the American Opera Studio Inc, recently concluding a tour of Spain and Portugal in the role of La Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi. Other recent productions include; Mercedes in Carmen with Landlocked Opera Company and Miss Jessel in Turn of the Screw with Red River Lyric Opera in Wichita Falls, Tx. In the summer of 2012, she was chosen to be a Young Artist at the Druid City Opera Workshop and Young Artisit Training Program in Tuscaloosa, AL. The following summer, she was honored she made her debut in the musical theater world as Bernice Boodalay in Bingo! The winning musical, part of the 59th season of Emporia State Summer Theater. She also the Soprano Section at John Knox Kirk Presybiterian Church in Kansas City, MO. Other accomplishments include; vocal coach with Faust Theatre’s production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, performing the role of Nursemaid in Street Scene at the University of Kansas and being a 2012 and 2013 Honors Recital semi-finalist at Emporia State University. A current student of Dr. Bill Hall, she has studied previously with Dr. Penelope Speedie and Dr. Kenneth Prewitt. Erin is in the final semester of her Masters of Musicology at University of Missouri-Kansas City, has her Masters in Music Vocal Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Music from Emporia State University. She currently resides in Overland Park, KS, where she lives with her husband, their son and their pets.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

In all vocal lessons, I focus on the healthy aspects of singing using a combination of anatomy, music theory, music history and fun. I work with the instrument you were given to give you the foundations of healthy, life long singing!
