Michael has been singing from the early age of four. His musical journey began singing with youth choirs and theater groups. At the age of twelve he sang the National Anthem for the NY Mets. Michael continued to pursue a solo career on and off throughout his life but self doubt and many failures forced him to go back to the drawing board and find out what works to be a successful musician. His philosophy and approach with his students not only focuses on strengthening the fundamentals of the voice, but on becoming a confident, well rounded professional artist! He allows students to be themselves and have fun while learning the fundamentals of music in order to let them use their gifts to their maximum potential. Michael is a triple threat: Artist, Performer and Studio Engineer. He is a fantastic songwriter and also teaches song writing and offers mixing & mastering lessons. His vocal career is taking off and in 2017, had three top ten Electronic Charts Hits, including a #1 in Europe

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Expect to forget everything you think you know about singing! I like to say I can "see" your vocal chords with my ears and have an exercise or solution to correct any tonal, expression, pitch or improper technique problems. Comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I am very professional, upbeat, motivating and will have you notice immediate changes in your singing from the first session alone! I record all lessons free of charge in high quality and send you home with "cheat sheets". Most instructors leave the learning process confined to their walls but perfecting your voice is an ongoing thing.

My "tune-up" with Michael
I'm a lifelong singer but as a solo artist relatively new to performing live. I was preparing for a few local gigs in upstate NY and as dates grew nearer I started experiencing nervousness and stress that started to manifest on my physical being. My voice was naturally affected, started getting a little shaky and I had practically no confidence. I thought I just needed more practice but wound up over-singing and actually hurting my voice. I worked with Michael "Mikey" and he was very nice and very insightful. I was told that over-singing as I'm pushing and straining my voice wouldn't improve things but just causes an injury. We worked on my mindset, technique, different breathing exercises and some other things that I thought had nothing to do at all with singing. But after 3 awesome sessions and some 'homework' it literally feels effortless whenever I sing now. Michaels technical approach and exercises were like going to the mechanic for a tune-up, and feeling a difference in how your car drives better afterwards. That's exactly how I feel, it's still "my voice" but more refined, efficient and powerful. I don't know what he did but the improvements in my actual resonance and the TEXTURE of my voice when I sing is remarkable!!!! Thank you Michael highly recommended! Erica wrote on Mon, 27 Jun 2022
