My love for music didn't just come from famiy tradition. I give a lot of credit to my home town, Seattle, for the hundreds of rainy days that kept me inside practicing and pouring over new and old CD's, the amazing all ages venues, supportive community and the awe-inspiring local legends that I looked up to.       

I spent the entirety of my high shool career in choir, playing original music at local coffee shops and near the end-was accepted to a songwriting program for high schoolers, run by Berklee Collge of Music.       

Needless to say, once I started College at Berklee in 2008 I was no longer a big fish in a small pond. It was scary, but exciting too and made me more driven. I was accepted to Berklee solely on my audition, I could barely read music when I started there. So the vocal labs, ear training, music theory, performance and technique classes were hard, very very hard for me. I spent office hours with my teachers and took extra classes and eventually graduated on The Dean's List in 2012.      

All of that molded me into the musician I am today. I've learned not only an extraordinary amount about music, but life lessons too, that I will always keep with me. I look forward to creating a solid and passionate foundation for my students and share my love and knowledge of music with them!
