I have been a musician since I was twelve, starting with guitar and then branching out to flute and piccolo. I am the designated first piccolo of the Southwest Florida Youth Symphony, in which I perform professional level literature. I play flute and guitar in my band, Pontifex, which I also write the music for. I have had experience playing in a small jazz ensemble while in high school that performed a few gigs at various places around town. I have a background in music theory, studying it in school and on my own time and as such have a good understanding of music composition and analysis. I am willing to be flexible with any schedule conflicts.

Reference for Kaleb D
Kaleb has been my private flute student for more than two years. In addition, I have had the experience of working with him as a member of the Southwest Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra. In short order, Kaleb proved himself to be a reliable, upstanding citizen, enough so that we entrust our house, mail, and cat with him when we are on vacation or working away from home. Since I first met Kaleb, I have admired how, at such a young age, he seemed to be able to communicate and interact well with adults. At his lessons, Kaleb has been well-prepared, engaged and questioning. Beyond that, he is talented and self-directed. It has been my pleasure to be Kaleb's flute teacher and to watch this fine young man grow up.
