HI! I'm an opera singer and vioce teahcer. I believe that a classical technique can provide a solid foundation for any kind of singing. I've been teaching for a little over 10 years and love helping my students learn about their voices and teaching them unlock their range, power, and expression that they never knew they had.

Taerra is an outstanding musician, soprano, teacher and advocate of young musicians. During her tenure at Southern Virginia University, she was a very popular private vocal teacher. She was well trained in excellent teaching strategies. Her students were always well prepared for recitals, juries, and master classes. Her students love her. She has a fine knowledge of repertoire. While here, she taught Music Fundamentals and Vocal Literature as well. She had leading roles in several operas, The Old Maid and the Thief and Soeur Angelica, while here, to name two. She has been a yearly participant in Roanoke Opera as well.
