10 Years
Max is a free-lance bass guitarist in South Carolina. Starting on Cello at age thirteen, Max always wanted to be a bassist (he was just too short!). After completing four years of cello and being accepted into P.C.A. (Palmetto Center of the Arts) magnet at Richland Northeast High School, Max received his first bass guitar (fretless fender jazz). Under the direction of Cora Phillips, Max pushed himself to understand what it meant to play music: physically, mentally, and melodically. Having performed with several jazz bands, marching bands, rock bands, as well as classical recitals, Max received a vast blend of musical intake. Nine years experience on the bass guitar has turned Max into a hard working, solid bass player. Having played for nine successful artists and bands, He has played everything from traditional Jazz and blues to modern day rock and pop. He is dedicated to his craft and pushing himself every day to better assist various artist and his own musical identity.
