Jackie started playing piano at the age of 4. She was born and raised in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia. Jackie also loves to sing, whether in a rock band or opera chorus. In her free time she enjoys reading and being outside.
Jackie W- has over 23 years of music experience in the Atlanta area.
Jackie W- is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Vocal Lessons .Formal Education:
7-18 Shirley Irek Piano studio. Trained with Julliard graduate and child prodigy up until entering college. Performed in competitions and formal recitals. Took additional Music Theory classes that were available by high school, Marist.
Private Education:
From 2007-2011 attended the University of Georgia as a Piano Performance major. Taught under Dr. Martha Thomas. Expanded knowledge of classical literature, as well as pedagogy and technique.
Performing Experience:
Idylwild Summer Festival, Yearly graded recital for UGA, experience in churches and ensembles.
Experience Teaching:
Under tutelage of her first teacher, Shirley Irek, from 2010-2011. Taught "freelance" off and on throughout 2011-2016, and played at Play More Music Atlanta.
