I started playing guitar when I was 7 years old. Since then I have been completely self taught. Music is the passion of my life and there is nothing better to me than to be able to pass on the knowledge that I have obtained to others as eager to excel in learning as I was. I have knowledge of scales, chords, and can teach how to read tabs. I can teach you how to play different songs that you enjoy listening to, and I can help you learn how to overcome the difficult times when you start getting frustrated.

Beginner -
I like to do things a little differently, what I mean is that I find it's important for you to really dig into why you want to learn. What style of playing really inspires you, and maybe a guitarist from a band that you love to look up to. When you decide you want to learn to play an instrument, it is very important to know that it's going to be something worth sticking with for you. You will never become a great guitarist, if you don't enjoy playing enough to endure the sore fingers, time, and dedication it takes to really achieve your goals. Last we will conclude your introductory lesson by seeing how much if anything you have taken upon yourself to learn, or be taught by anyone else. That way I get a good feel of where you are, and where a good place to start will be.
Formal Education:
I have no formal education per say, but I have been playing over 20 years and have a very wide base of knowledge about guitar. I taught myself how to play bass and piano based off the knowledge I have of guitar.
Private Education:
I was taught a few chords by my uncle when I was 7. Since then I have used the internet and playing along with other people to learn.
Performing Experience:
I have played in a few bands, and have played several gigs over my lifetime. I played in a band called honest acoustic when I was younger, then started a christian band called jeremiah's cry. I recorded a solo album called the return of the prodigal when I was 15 years old. It is on spotify and you can give it a listen if you'd like to hear how far along I'd come since starting to play at 7 years of age.
Experience Teaching:
I have given a few lessons in the past ten years. It was never anything formal though, it was always for free and for friends of mine who wanted to learn how to play. I have always had success with being able to teach people and have plenty of patience which is a very good virtue to have in the teaching business.
