I am a self-taught pianist. I have been playing piano for 35 years, starting with classical. As I grew older, I began to focus on jazz and different types of popular music. I studied at New York City College and the Manhattan school of music. I now act as a full-time keyboardist in the Houston area teaching lessons and gigging in several bands. I also work in the studios arranging songs. I performed in more than 3,000 shows and movies since 1990. I toured internationally with the tropical band. As a songwriter, I've produced 5 CDs. My teaching methods focus on a hands-on approach to helping my students gain the confidence to develop their own unique style.

Piano Lessons for my Daughter

I AM SO GLAD TO HAVE FOUND MARIO AS MY TEACHER
I am so glad to have found Mario as my teacher, I've been taking private piano lessons from Mario almost two year now. I did a lot of research beforehand on other places and even tried trial classes at the other places. In the end, I chose Mario, because of his patience and personal attention. It is not easy to find the right piano teacher. Some pianists with too much skill don't teach beginners; some that teach beginners don't have enough skill. Some piano teachers are too over-bearing and some are too lax. Mario manages to put it all together in the right combination. He's obviously extremely qualified and talented, but also knows how to teach, and teach effectively. I plan to continue lessons as long as I can.
