Erin A.
it is my pleasure, as Erin August's private violin teacher for 8 years, to recommend her as a private violin teacher. Erin loves playing violin and sharing her music with others. With her warm, friendly, and humble personality, and with her ease of being with all ages, Erin is a natural leader and teacher. She earns respect from all ages as evidenced by her past activities: from her peers when she was concert master of the Stivers' Performing High School for the Arts in Dayton; from her elementary and junior high school violin and piano students at the Salvation Army Kroc Center where she taught them weekly lessons privately and in small groups; from adults in her church ministry where she helped them with their musical activities and choir singing; from Senior adults in Old Aged Homes where she brought her joy of music making to them with her positive, caring, and sweet personality. I have seen first hand Erin's success as a private violin teacher. When she went to Baldwin Wallace this year, I took over some of her violin students to teach. She did an excellent job teaching them. One of her students was an active ADHD boy. She reached him with her patient, kind, and intuitive teaching. He LOVES playing his violin and smiles the whole time he is doing it. I am just delighted to see one of my students (Erin) continue the legacy of giving the joy of music playing to others. I know Erin will accept the responsibility as your private teacher with dedication as she has done with all her past teaching experiences. Fortunate will be those students blessed to get Erin, for they will have a devoted teacher, encouraging and inspiring them with her beaming smile and bubbly enthusiasm.
