About Me

I'm a 21 year old of mixed parentage. My mother is Texan and my father is Indian, Malaysian. I was born and raised in Malaysia. I graduated from high school at the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) in 2012. I went to college at the International College of Music (ICOM) then transferred to Berklee College of Music.

I'm a vocalist and majoring in songwriting at Berklee. I've been singing professionally for about 8 years. I've sung in small local musicals, school productions, government events, national events, and more. I have recently co-written a song with my brother, Caleb Savari, called "One" for Malaysia for their hosting of the ASEAN chairmanship this year. It's available on YouTube for your viewing, just type in ICOM "One" ASEAN.

I grew up in an extremely musical family so my background in music is very strong. I also play the piano and a little bit of the saxophone. I mainly sing pop and jazz but have strong roots in country as well. I'm the oldest of five siblings (the youngest being 5 years old) so I'm extremely patient and understanding.

Berklee College of Music (January 2015 - present) International College of Music or ICOM (June 2012 - December 2014)

Private Education:

Growing up in a family of musicians, I was taught how to sing at a very young age. I was taught by my Aunt who used to sing professionally in a group called, Cendrawasih. I had classical piano lessons starting at the age of 7 until 14. I then, through the rise of YouTube, self taught myself to play other genres of music. After learning more and more about music through out high school and college, my piano playing has also developed.

Performing Experience:

I've been performing since I was about 8 years old participating in auditions and showcases. I've also participated in several local musicals and showcases (Seussical Jr., A night with the Phantom with Ramin Karimloo) I've also performed in big production shows from college such as Tribute to the BeeGees and Tribute to Musicals. I've been an active vocalist since high school in musical productions and open mics, talent shows, jazz nights etc. I have experience in local gigs as well, I was part of the house band of a popular bar called Taps Beer and Bar, back home in Malaysia. Our repertoire ranged from the old classics to Top 40 hits.

Experience Teaching:

I taught at a kindergarten back in Malaysia for about 2 years. I was an assistant to the teacher and also the music teacher. I'd bring in different instruments every week to introduce to the kids and we'd sing a couple songs they liked. In high school I provided free vocal tuition for some of my juniors. If they needed help in their harmony lines for choir, or they're working on a solo for a performance or audition. I loved seeing their growth and it brought me joy that I played a part in that.
