Hello there! I'm Jay. I have been playing guitar for around 25 years. I first started playing acoustic guitar at age 12, and then began learning how to play electric guitar in high school, and moved into the realm of classical guitar in my early 20's while attending college and pursuing my degree. I love different styles of music: rock, metal, country, contemporary christian, blues, jazz & classical. I love playing guitar, and I also enjoy teaching guitar to aspiring musicians. I hope that when I teach a student I will have an impact on their life and that I will help them achieve their goals as a musician! My approach to teaching guitar is unique to each individual student's needs. Age, level of playing, style of music are all factors which determine how I will teach a student. It is important for me to be able to customize my teaching style to each specific student so that each student will receive instruction that fits their particular needs and help them achieve the goals they wish to reach on the guitar! If it is songs on the radio you want to learn, or traditional formal music theory..I can help you learn how to play. I am very professional and organized in my approach.
