My Name is Michael , I'm 18 years old and I'm very passionate about music. It is my life. I've been playing piano for a total of 11 years and I've been playing the Saxophone for 7.
Early on I learned what it's like to not have a very good music teacher. My first one would only teach me to play music I didn't want to play , and my second one spent more time just goofing off instead of doing any actual teaching. What I'm trying to get across is I know what it's like to not have a good teacher , and having the experience of a truly good teacher has helped me know how good I could've gotten if I had one from the start , through that I know the qualities a good teacher needs and I try to fit all of them.
At the moment I play Blues/Jazz Piano , and the Tenor , Alto , and Soprano Saxophones.
Michael Va has over 11 Piano 7 Saxophone years of music experience in the Grandview area.
Michael Va is proficient in and teaches Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
7 years of instruction in various classes at the Berkeley Jazz School in Berkeley California.
Private Education:
1 year of private piano lessons from Mark Levine , writer of Jazz Piano a now famous book. 2 Years of Saxophone Private Lessons from Kasey Knudsen professional Saxophonist and Composer.
