Hello, My name is Darcy W and I am a music therapist and a music educator. I have over 20 years combined experience teaching and helping people of all ages, especially in learning piano. I began studying music and piano at the age of 10, and studied all the way through college, where I got my B.S. in Music Therapy. This degree combines music education, theory, composition, and performance along with therapeutic skills. In college I studied piano and voice, and performed in piano ensembles, as an accompanist, and in vocal ensembles. As a professional, I have taught in music, including piano (primarily) and other instruments, theory, technique, and general music classes to young children My private music students were of all ages, from age 5 through adulthood. A great deal of that work was during my time in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have just relocated to Miami Beach and I am ready to schedule new students. I look forward to getting to know you.

Some. Mostly formal performances related to my degree program. I also accompanied vocalists for some cash while I was in college. Occasional weddings or special events as a pianist and vocalist. Performance is not my primary career focus.
