"I've been teaching for about 20 years and I've taught hundreds of students of varying ages and musical interests. My students learn both the fundamental technical and musical principles they need to improve and the music that most interests them. Why not learn the right way to play from the start? Conversely, while I like to broaden students' musical horizons, I don't insist on any particular direction. Whether you want to learn Bach suites, jazz standards, or ACDC songs I can help you. Young students learn about notes and rhythms while playing melodies. Not just through practicing, but through fun games that keep interest high. I truly love getting to know children and helping them enjoy the gift of music. My teaching is informed by decades of performing jazz, classical and rock music in bars, on cruise ships, and for private events, as well as my experiences earning two degrees in musical performance.
