Matthew was raised in the foothills of central California in a musical family. He began performing in church at a very young age, then moving on to touring children's choirs and musical theater, until finally he started writing and performing his own music. Feeling like a big fish in a small pond, he moved north to San Francisco to be apart of a larger music scene. Since then he has been making a name for himself as a songwriter and vocalist, most notably as a founding member of the 14-Piece tribute to Michael Jackson, Foreverland.
