I love what I do and especially enjoy developing students to reach their full potential. I believe my job is to inspire while guiding my students in the direction of their passion in a patient, understanding and positive way -- making drumming fun while empowering each student to become not only a well-rounded drummer, but a great overall MUSICIAN. I also believe that being a great teacher means that I, as a teacher, am always learning. That is why even today at 40+ I'm still a student. I practice often and dedicate myself to constantly learning new things. I also emphasize what a good drummer/musician should be off stage: professional, honest, a good listener, and a team player. Finally, with my experience with hundreds of students I've gained the ability to understand HOW a student learns. Everyone learns differently and I try to understand my student’s best path to learning as efficiently as possible to achieve their goals. I also teach students creativity and emphasize making lessons and learning fun.
