Review About Me
I am a brass musician specializing in Trumpet but I do have experience with other brass instruments. I currently study music education in college. I began playing at the age of 7 with The Salvation Army and have been playing for 17 years.
Jonathan R. has over 8 years of music experience in the Clearwater area.
Jonathan R. is proficient in and teaches Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
I studied music at the prestigious A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach FL for high school and took private lessons from the top local trumpet teacher. I am currently pursuing a degree in music education.
Private Education:
I studied Trumpet under Veselin Bozhilov in West Palm Beach Fl. I also took lessons from various other top musicians in the Brass Band world.
Performing Experience:
I am a current member of The Salvation Army's Florida Divisional Brass Band (solo Cornet). We have traveled extensively to places such as Paris, and South America. I have also performed various solo recitals.
Experience Teaching:
I have been teaching for The Salvation Army for 8 years. In 2010 I was given the opportunity to be a band director at The Salvation Army's summer music conservatory where I have since returned to fill the same role. In 2012 I was asked to travel to Argentina to teach at a Brass Band camp.
