I've been a pro bassist for over thirty years, playing many different kinds of music, and so have a broad range of influences. I tailor lessons to individual needs. I like to design lessons based on music that you're interested in.
Andy Z has over 30+ years of music experience in the Santa Fe area.

Private Education:
I started with piano lessons at six. I had an ear training teacher early on who helped me to develop perfect pitch. I played trumpet at school, and guitar in rock bands as a teenager. At 17 I settled on the bass and had a number of private teachers. After college I sought out the best private bass teachers I could find, and also took lessons in other areas of musical education, including composition, theory, conducting, vocals, and world music.
Performing Experience:
I've been a pro bassist for over thirty years and played many different kinds of music, including rock, jazz, classical, salsa, different latin styles, klezmer, and film music.
Experience Teaching:
I've been a private teacher for over thirty years, and an instructor at a community college, and worked for non-profit music in the schools programs
