My name is Danny, and I have been playing guitar for nearly 16 years. I am primarily self taught. I teach with an emphasis on using your ear first and theory to supplement that skill. I played primarily fingerstyle acoustic for years so I have strong fingerpicking skills. My lead style is influenced by blues and psychedelia (Hendrix, Gilmour, Rother). I think that theory is important but I also think that the technical aspects of music can discourage many from picking up an instrument.
Danny K has over 15 years of music experience in the Swanzey area.

Performing Experience:
Started playing and performing bass in a band in 2002 in high school. I've been writing and performing music in original groups since 2003. I started recording in 2003 and have been recording ever since. Since 2006 I have played regularly and have been in fairly successful acts (Kendra, Gutterhooks, Red Supergiant, Omoo Omoo, Lambis, Great Taproot and more.) I have played with Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth as well as some other notable acts. For the past 3 years I have been playing on a monthly basis, often playing once a week.
Experience Teaching:
I have been a go to friend for teaching guitar and have taught music theory to many people.
