Alec Tu.

I studied media and communications with an emphasis in music at Maharishi University of Management in Iowa, as well as at Scottsdale Community College in Arizona. Additionally, I studied in Choir and Orchestra throughout my high school years at the top public school for music in Arizona (was invited multiple times to play at Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as Macy's Day Parade one year).

My guitar studies have all been private. I began in third grade, taking a group lesson at which I excelled. I never had a one-on-one teacher for guitar, though I have had one for the upright bass and piano. For guitar, I have strictly been self taught. I am always learning, but consider myself to be highly qualified.

I have performed often, though not as often as I would like, recently. In high school I played in a band that had regular gigs. I also played in the school orchestra and sang in the choir, which both performed in front of very large audiences on a regular basis.

Like I said in my bio, I don't have a lot of experience teaching. I had a few students in high school, and have often taught my friends for fun. But I am looking to build a good basis for my future in teaching, and that is what this is all about.
