Review About Me
My name is Neilson. My biggest musical influence is my father who was an accomplished guitar player/singer. I grew up in a very musical family and even as a child most of my toys were musical instruments. I find that the best way for me to teach, is to analyze and figure out the music the student is most interested in learning,and use that to explain whats happening musically. The students seem to respond to learning the technical aspects of music more if they are working on a song they want to learn how to play. I do however use other methods depending on what specifically we're working on.
Neilson Be. has over 5 years of music experience in the Metairie area.
Neilson Be. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons .Formal Education:
I've had a few years of college. I studied at Delgado Community College, and the University of New Orleans.
Private Education:
From age 11 to 13, I was taught guitar by my father. From there I took private lessons until age 17. From age 12 to 16 I studied drums with my cousin who was a drum corps alumnus.
Performing Experience:
My first gig was at 16 and I have been performing on a consistent basis ever since. I've played Jazz Fest, Voo Doo Fest, House of Blues, Tippitinas and many more places on multiple occasions in New Orleans. I've also toured with bands and played clubs and festivals all over the country. I am currently still performing in New Orleans with a few different groups.
Experience Teaching:
I have been Teaching weekly for the past 5 years. Presently I have students on Monday and Tuesdays. I teach both guitar and drums and have equal experience on both. I've taught people of all ages and skill levels.
