I am a singer/songwriter of Christian contemporary, gospel, country, blues and rock music. Over these many years I have been influenced by many gospel and blues artists. I have always been attracted to music as a whol What many refer to as "church music" forms the greater portion of my influences. I am a registered singer songwriter with BMI. My formal education in music began with the coronet, then trumpet then clarinet back in junior high school. I went on to become the first chair in the school orchestra and in my senior year of high school I played the lead role of Curly in Oklahoma. I taught myself to play the piano with my right hand and eventually hired an instructor to teach me to play the piano with both hands. I now play several instruments, sing different parts and write music and lyrics on a regular basis. For over forty years I have performed as a solo act playing and singing original works as well as cover songs; as a piano player in a piano bar; as a bass player in a country band; as the front man for a rock band; as a drummer in a club band; as a bass singer in a gospel group; a church pianist; a praise team member singing bass; a member of the church choir at either tenor or bass; and in the studio as a backup singer.
