Adam or 'Gilch' began playing guitar at age 6 when he was given an acoustic guitar for a Christmas present by his dad, Justin. He really took an extreme interest when he got his first electric guitar at age 11 and was introduced to a whole new life of adventure. Started listening to Led Zeppelin, AC/DC; and, later Megadeth , Metallica, Joe Satriani and Van Halen. At age 18, Adam attended the world famous Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he met his hero, Zakk Wylde for the first time.
After deciding Boston wasn’t the place for him, he moved to sunny Hollywood, CA to attend world famous GIT at Musicians Institute. He really liked it here and he joined a band called Vertigo upon graduating GIT. The band was a finalist on MTV’s “Battle For Ozzfest TV show. After playing with Vertigo for over 2 years, Adam quit Vertigo to pursue other musical interests where he felt he got more freedom of creative expression.
Adam now plays with the band FMP (www.facebook.com/forwardmomentumprophecy) and also does session work for local bands and teaches guitar. On July of 2011, Adam was awarded “World’s Fastest Guitarist” by Dr. David Adamovich and the RHR with his records of Flight of the Bumble Bee at 814 BPM, and 50 notes per second. Adam still currently holds 3 current world records including Flight of the Bumble Bee now at 1000+BPM.
