John graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2006 with a degree in Sacred Music. He has played in church bands and recording projects since he was seven years old. Because of the vast diversity of circumstances to which he has been exposed, he has developed a versatility and improvisation ability which allows him to adapt to almost any playing situation. During his formative years, he participated in several competitions and recitals, besides the church performances. People who listen to him often comment on the smooth, comfortable and flowing style with which he plays. His greatest desire in playing and teaching is to allow other people the ability and freedom to express the deepest emotions and convey them in such a way as to touch the heart of those who hear.
