About Me

I’ve been playing the piano for 14 years and the violin for 5 years, earning top placements in competitions like the Solo and Sonatina Festivals. As a member of my high school’s varsity orchestra, I’ve arranged and led ensembles, including quartets and octets. I focus on efficient practice, teaching students how to practice intelligently to achieve real progress rather than just logging hours. I’m committed to making lessons fun and engaging, helping students not only learn their instruments but also develop a genuine love for music along the way.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

In keyboard and piano lessons, students will begin by mastering basic skills such as proper hand positioning, note reading, and fundamental techniques. As students progress, they will dive deeper into music theory, scales, and chords to develop a stronger understanding of the instrument. I tailor each lesson to individual needs, ensuring that beginners feel comfortable and confident, while more advanced students will focus on refining their technique and performance skills. Expect to work on a mix of technical exercises, musical pieces, and sight-reading to build both your skill and musicality. We’ll also explore different genres and styles, from classical to contemporary, while ensuring that lessons remain enjoyable and engaging. You will develop not just technical proficiency, but also a passion for playing and a deeper connection with music.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

In orchestral lessons, students will learn how to collaborate and play in an ensemble setting, focusing on how their individual parts contribute to the overall harmony of the group. They will develop skills in sight-reading, timing, listening, and blending with other instruments. I will emphasize the importance of rhythm, dynamics, and expression, helping students build strong technical foundations while fostering a deep understanding of the music. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, these lessons will offer opportunities for growth in both individual performance and ensemble collaboration. Students will also be encouraged to participate in group performances, allowing them to apply their skills in real-world settings.
