Melanie T.

I have been playing violin since 6th grade and is currently a junior in college.  I pursued orchestra all throughout middle school and high school, where my passion for music began. I have engaged in several orchestral activities including camps at Baylor University and Sam Houston University where I was under the direction of highly acclaimed musicians. After growing up in orchestra and choir throughout school, I want to apply the musical knowledge I have earned to help students excel in their musical careers. I want to create an inviting environment to shape the minds of students and inspire them. I have performed with the Friendswood United Methodist Church where I honed my skills to help lead sectionals and guide others with sight reading orchestral pieces. Since then, I am currently playing with a student-led orchestra, collaborating with other students to perform various classical pieces. I want to use my experiences to develop individualized lessons plans to help the needs of specific students to ensure their upmost success. 
I also want to build an encouraging environment with my teaching style where I can share her life-long passion to ensure confidence and creativity in my students.
