Hi! My name is Shane and I have been playing drums for as long as I can remember. I first played in concert band when I was in 4th grade and started taking private lessons when I was around 13 up through college. I graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in Music Performance: Jazz Studies on drumset During that time, I was one of the drumline instructors at Upper St. Clair High School, which is also my alma mater. I was also a member of the WVU drumline for 4 years. My main influences are rock drummers such as John Bonham Dave Grohl, Ringo Starr, and many others. I also have an immense respect for jazz drummers like Art Blakey, Tony Williams, Max Roach, etc. With me as a teacher, you can expect lessons to be laid back but with firm expectations for success. I mostly teach drumset but I can also teach concert/marching snare drum as well as other percussion instruments.
