I love music, and always have my whole life. I started studying/performing professionally during my time at Stetson University, where I performed in the orchestra as a violist. I started learning violin initially, and then transferred to viola because of the needs of my school’s orchestra at the time. I have also taken functional keyboard, music theory, oral training, and several other music classes, in addition to the 8 yrs experience i have playing in my high school orchestra, the treasure coast symphony as 1st chair viola, the all-state orchestra, fine arts competitions where i performed as a soloist multiple times, my radio spot on Young Musician’s spotlight by NPR, and my time as a violist in Stetson’s symphony orchestra, which i attended on a combination music and academic scholarship. I took a break from music to join the USAF in 2008. Since separating in 2017, ive been doing mostly mechanical work because that’s what the bulk of my professional experience is in, because of my time in the military. But my true passion, and the thing i want to with my life the most is something with music. I love teaching, playing, listening to, watching music videos, and anything else music related. If it has anything to do with Music, count me in! Anyways, i have always had to work different jobs so i could support my wife and son, but now at the age of 36 i am finally in a place in my life financially where i can actually afford to go after what i really want to do. I would love to teach guitar, as that is the instrument that i have been focusing on lately, but am open to teaching violin/viola, or other music classes. I do have one year of working with children as a caretaker/teacher when I worked at my school’s lower campus, so I do have some teaching experience.
