I was a recipient of private lessons from Jock Bartley of FireFall before entering the University of Colorado at Denver to study music. I toured with numerous bands out of college in addition to creating and running The MikeBand, LLC. During college, I began my teaching career by teaching guitar classes at The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver. Through the years I have maintained a satisfied group of students and have taught throughout sudios in metro Denver. I have shared the stage with acts such as Earth Wind and Fire and Tab Benoit and I am a credited songwriter with many acts through out the southwest. As for a passion for teaching, I have a commitment to teaching theory while keeping the students interested in what they want to achieve musically. You learn to specifically tailor your style to that particular students interests, which encourages growth. The most reward thing about teaching is watching the growth and seeing the excitement of the students as they progress. undefined
