Ashley began playing flute at the age of 11, and training in voice at age 15. Over the years, she developed her skills in teaching and performance by receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music at Furman University. She has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall and the Chicago Symphony Center. Though Ashley can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical and musical theatre, which had great influence on her style of playing and singing. Ashley loves music because it is a wonderful way to express oneself and loves teaching music because she loves to share the joy it brings her with her students!
