Mykayla F.

Originally from Colorado Springs, Mykayla obtained her B.M. in Vocal Performance from Colorado State University. She is also the Voice Director at A Dance Place in Greeley, CO and has been an Assistant Stage Director for Music on Site in Wichita, KS. She has always had a love for music! She has been in choir since she was able to talk and started taking guitar lessons in middle school. Currently in music, she has been singing in operas and concerts with opera companies in Northern Colorado, as well as teaching lessons in her own private studio. She is currently working on getting some of her pedagogy research published! Her professional goals in music are to continue singing opera and musical theatre, and to get her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. She wants to keep teaching, stage direct opera, and eventually end up teaching at a university. Some of her best qualities as a teacher are she likes to keep lessons fun and adjust to whatever energy her students bring that day. She is super adaptable and patient, and is always willing to meet her students where they are! Her goals for her students in lessons is to come with a love for making music and learn along the way. She wants to help her students find and love who they are when they play. In her free time, she loves to paint and bake! She also loves being outside in nature, running and hiking around Fort Collins.
