15 Years
I am a passionate musician who enjoys sharing my talents with others. I graduated college with masters in double Bass Performance in 2012. I have experience touring in a rock band and playing in professional orchestras. I am planning on relocating to the Turlock area this summer and I will be able to teach in-person. I was recently hired by CalState Stanislaus as the bass professor but need more to relocate there. I’m hopeful I can piece all of that together. Thank you
Dennis B. has over 15 years of music experience in the Marina area.
Dennis B. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Keyboard and Piano Lessons, Orchestral Lessons .Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
I enjoy playing and teaching rock, pop and metal on guitar. I can get anyone started with their journey with the guitar. I am able to create custom lessons to achieve my students goals.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Bass guitar is near and dear to my heart.I tend to focus on techniques and develop a great sense of rhythm when teaching bass guitar. I am comfortable teaching all styles and I’m certain I can take your playing to the next level!
What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Being a versatile bassist and preparing auditions myself, I am comfortable and confident I can cover aspects of orchestral playing on the stringed instruments. A good sense of rhythm, listening and technical ability is what we would focus on in my lessons.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
I have experience teaching piano. I have a vast library of music to choose from. I am flexible with what’s covered in lessons but do prefer working out of books so we know what to expect week after week. My goal is to guide you to the next level but the work and practice is the student’s responsibility.
Formal Education:
I have been studying music almost my whole life. I believe we never stop learning. My formal education began with private lessons on bass guitar. After high school I attended Atlanta Institute of Music in Atlanta GEORGIA. After graduating from there in 1999 I began school at this University of Georgia in 2005 and stayed through my masters in double Bass Performance, graduating in 2012.
Private Education:
I have studied with private teachers; Paul Ellison, Julianna Russel, Phil Helm, Eric Hanson, Bobby Scharman and a few more.
Performing Experience:
I have touring experience with an original rock group. I’ve performed in many community orchestra as well as the World Doctors orchestra, Santa Cruz Symphony and helping with Youth orchestras.
