Hi, my name is Olivia and am a soprano from Philadelphia, PA. I've studied singing professionally for the last 8 years at Northwestern University and Indiana University where I got my Bachelors and Masters in Music. Although I'm a performer, I am also passionate in sharing my passion for music through teaching, so others can find their personal way of expressing themselves. The voice is the most natural and vulnerable instrument there is! I am trained as a classical musician-think opera, choir, etc!-but I absolutely love to sing musical theatre, jazz and harmonize with just about anything on the radio. I'm versed in all kinds of different music and I enjoy teaching in all different styles. In my lessons, I make sure that students get a mix of singing things they love and singing things that will help build their technique. Students will also be exposed to music that is new to them to broaden their musical horizons. The most important thing to me is healthy singing and happy singing. We will talk about your singing "goals" and loves in our first lesson because singing isn't just about the technique. It's about expression and connection to who you are and what you love, too.
