Samuel D.

Samuel, Brazilian violist, was born in São João da Boa Vista and began his musical studies at age 12. Samuel has spent a large part of his musical journey pursuing the career of an orchestral musician, and he has performed with orchestras such as the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra, USP Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Lagrange Symphony, Albany Symphony and Schwob Philharmonic. As a chamber musician, he was a member of Camerata Fukuda of which he was principal for one season and he also participated in the chamber music series from the Experimental Repertoire Orchestra as a member of some of the string quartets. In 2015, he was invited to perform in a series of chamber music concerts with members of the Berlin Philharmonic at the music festival in Trancoso, Brazil. In 2019, he played his first concert as a soloist with Park University Orchestra. In 2023 Samuel was awarded by Columbus State University with the Schwob School of Music’s Senior Performance Honors as result of his senior recital. Currently Samuel is a first year master student in music performance at Lynn Conservatory under guidance of professor Sheila Browne.
