She gained performance experience in the accompany area by playing at church services and with special occasions such as Christmas and Easter. Though Shuyi can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are pop music which had great influence on her style of playing. Shuyi loves music because it is an universal language that can connect people and loves teaching music because it is a way to share knowledge and nurture growth.
