Hi, my name is LaShella, and I’m from Dallas, TX. I am a certified voice teacher and alumni of New York Vocal Coaching Inc. I bring 10 years of experience in the music industry. My musical influences include Lalah Hathaway, Brandy, India Arie, and Smokie Norful. I've been a recording artist for a local record label, and I've led praise and worship for several years. I've also been featured on KHVN Heaven 97, Voyage Dallas Magazine, and Shoutout DFW. My teaching style can best be described as fun and simple yet effective. I help singers to overcome self-doubt and sing with confidence and joy without the need to be perfect but with a zeal to strive for excellence by building a solid foundation of vocal techniques and nurturing their authentic expression. During lessons, you can expect us to work on strengthening the voice, blending smoothly between registers to eliminate cracking in the voice, extending your range, performing exercises, riffs, different stylistic approaches, and more. I like to tell my students that they can make a positive impact with their singing. My favorite thing about teaching is witnessing how my students progress and seeing the smiles on their faces when they reach their goals. My students love that I encourage them and keep them motivated. My aim as a vocal teacher is to individualize each lesson based on the student's needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
