Hello! I am Amir, a senior Music Industry student at FAMU. I have been playing music since I was just 8 years old. Since then, I have learned to play percussion, as well as many instruments like piano, bass, trombone, euphonium, and cello.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Students should expect to learn about how to structure a song, how to create a progression and melody, and learn make contrasting parts of a song, as well as theme and variations.
What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Students should expect to learn about percussion. The name of each part of a drum and its respective functions. Students should expect to learn gripping the sticks or mallets, learning rudiments, feeling rhythm internally and stroking.
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Students should expect to learn about the piano. The name of each part of the piano and their respective functions. Students should expect to learn hand placement, scales, music theory, chords, and progressions.
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Students should expect to learn about the bass. The name of each part of the bass, how to hold the instrument, knowledge of what each hand is doing. Students will also learn a bit of music theory, along with scales, progressions, and technique building exercises.
Formal Education:
I received my high school diploma at FSUS in Tallahassee, Fl. Currently, I am in my senior year at FAMU, majoring in Music Industry.
Performing Experience:
I have had many musical performances of many types over many years. Most recently, I have been performing with the world-renowned Marching 100 as a snare drummer. Prior to that, I was performing for high school shows, and music performance assessments as well. I have had many gigs as well.
