9 Years Playing Music Years

About Me

I have been into music for as long as I can remember! It all started back in the days of Guitar Hero, it was really the main inspiration to start playing music. After playing it through my younger years, I finally decided to start learning guitar at the age of 12 and I've been playing ever since! Professionally I have made many accomplishments that I am proud of. I was in and out of bands throughout high school, getting the chance to play in venues around town such as Café Berlin and Rose Music Hall! Eventually, we got an offer to play a show in Jefferson City at The Bridge as well, and it was an exciting time. Also throughout high school, I was lucky enough to be a part of an internship program with Darkroom Records, learning the basics of music production and management. I gained a lot of experience booking shows, and helping other young artists record abs produce their own music! Music is a unique journey for everyone and I would love to be an influence to others to get their journey started and help them along the way!

For Beginner students, they should expect to learn the basics of guitar playing. How to hold the guitar, how to tune the guitar, proper picking and strumming technique, finger style, etc. They should also expect to learn basic music knowledge such as the notes of the fretboard, the major and pentatonic scales, the different types of chords and how to build them, and intervals. Basic guitar setup will also be taught. Intermediate students should expect to explore various aspects of lead playing and songwriting. We will look into creating effective lead lines, playing guitar solos, creating their own guitar solos using the pentatonic scale and its various positions, advanced chord shapes, and extended chords.
