Jacob has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano at the age of 6 and has been taught by multiple instructors, including Gabriel Sanchez DSO pianist for the 5 years. Now, he is attending UNT for a BA in music. He is knowledgeable in music theory and score notation programs MuseScore and Finale. He is also classically trained. Jacob can teach any skill level and looks forward to sharing his musical knowledge with others, getting to know you as a student, and learning about your specific goals, interests, and learning style. What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students will understand how to read sheet music and music theory. They will be a focus on classical repertoire along with what the student personally is interested in.
Formal Education:
Attending UNT for a BA in music
Private Education:
Piano lessons since the age of 6, including with the DSO pianist Gabriel Sanchez, and the lessons provided by the UNT music program.
Performing Experience:
I've played for multiple classical piano competitions. I've also played the piano part for marching band shows, a jazz band performance, and church music. I've accompanied singers (including a choir) and various instrumentalists for different performances.
