As a classical pianist, I always loved to share music with students. I began playing piano at the age of four. I’ve received a Bachelor's, master of music degree in solo piano performance major, and I am a doctoral student at Arizona State University. My role as a music educator is to motivate and facilitate each student in finding an interesting and fluid piano technique. My teaching style can best be described as “supportive, patient, and friendly. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the fundamental music theory, music terms, technique, pedaling, and all related-music knowledge. I love to share all my knowledge with students and want students to enjoy playing music at the piano. Let's enjoy the music!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Advanced - Intermediate
The most vital thing for a teach should provide their students with a creative perspective, including responsibility and patient. My teaching style can best be described as “supportive, patient, and friendly. In my lessons, the students can expect to learn the fundamental music theory, music term, technique, pedaling, and all related-music knowledge. I love to share all knowledge with students, and want students to enjoy playing music at the piano.
Formal Education:
Along with my music studies, many experienced encourage me and boost my confidence. In 2015, I left my native China for the first time, to study abroad at the College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati. At my undergrad level, I’ve also learned how to conduct string ensembles and choirs for one year. In the same year, I have studied organ/harpsichord performance with an organ professor at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I have never stopped listening to and performing music. No matter what I am going through, I can always rely on enjoying music to remind me of the true beauty in real life. My passion for music is the driving force in my personal life. Absolutely, music has always been able to comfort and calm me in times of difficulty and trouble. Additionally, music is exactly the universal language in the world, I think music has the potential for improving interpersonal communication in our daily life. I have received bachelor's and master's degrees at College-Conservatory of Music, OH. Right now I’m pursuing a Doctoral degree in piano performance at Arizona State University, as a student of Robert Hamilton.
Private Education:
I did have various private masterclasses with well-known pianists and educators, including Robert Hamilton, Boris Berman, Ran Dank, John Perry, etc.
Performing Experience:
Since I grew up in a musical family, I have gained enough collaborative performances, rigorous practices, and instructions from my parents. I honestly would like to share the wonderful music with the public. At CCM, I had studied chamber and collaborative music for two years, particularly the Mendelssohn piano trio Op, 49, Mozart Violin Sonata K. 305, and Beethoven Piano Trio. Additionally, I also played as an accompanist for string and wind instruments.
Experience Teaching:
Anjun Z. Is proficient in and teaches keyboard and piano lessons. My teaching experience includes piano beginner, intermediate and advanced. I would like to help students in the score learning at first and want them to enjoy playing music at the piano, teaching the fundamental music theory, terms, related-music knowledge. I will also suggest different repertoires, let them listen to different genres of music that could help their aspect of music.
